Hello ED 431. Here's the link to my Google survey. If you already took the survey and commented through Edmodo, thanks.

  1. Good topic for your survey, and nicely crafted throughout. My only suggestion--and this is a very minor point--concerns questions 2 and 3. When I took the survey and was asked what I would do if I had questions about my program, my response began with "I will..." I think I would probably do all of those things if I weren't getting answers using my preferred methods. If the question were slightly reworded--e.g., saying "I would most likely..." instead of "I will..." I might be more likely to center on those methods that I would be most likely to do. Of course, you do address this point later in your survey when you ask about preferred methods of receiving information, but that's not quite the same as what you would likely do to seek out answers. Again, it's a minor point and probably not worth changing for this assignment, but something to think about when you push the survey out to students.

  2. Hi Skip. Your comment touches on a point I tried to fix. I wanted to have respondents rank these items from most likely to least likely but I couldn't find a way to do that with Google Survey. I searched help and forums on the topic but came up with nothing. I could try survey monkey.

Your suggestion does help clarify the question as it stands... so, thanks!

  3. Hi Jane.

I hope the survey helps you figure out how best to reach out to students. I'm hoping that most of the respondents feel like me and don't want to see announcements in social media. It would be odd to have to sign up for a media sight just to get important info from the program.
